As we are starting again re Kali's passport, I can call him anything I like - so I thought I'd come up with a "posh" name for him (although he'll continue to be called Kali by us as that's the name we all know and love 
).
I'd always said that his competition name (he'll likely never affiliate so I don't suppose we have to adhere to BE, BD or BSJA rules re naming) would be PolarSkye (my own username). It's a play on the fact that he's from Poland, my Scottish heritage and the general colour of the skies over Scotland in the winter (winter white - and he's grey).
However, I'm not FROM Skye . . . I'm from Forres which is a) on the opposite coast; and b) less than half a mile from Findhorn (a place I adore) . . . so what about Findhorn?

- Findhorn Beach
- PolarForrest (as a play on the Polar bit and Forres(t))

- Findhorn
- PolarBear (we often call him KaliBear as a term of endearment)
- Kinloss (where we lived when I was born)
- Leanchoil Lad (Leanchoil was the name of the hospital where I was born and I've always loved the name/word)
- Stanislaw (the first name of his breeder (polish)) - also Stan was the first horse I ever rode
- His breeder's last name was Walczak which apparently derives from Wal - to bring down or overthrow . . . so something to do with that (although Kal is really not the overthrowing type, he's such a wuss)
Any other suggestions? I'd like a name that reflects either him or us . . . and where we've come from. For reference, I was born in Scotland (as above) and have a huge place in my heart for Findhorn and the surrounding area. My daughter (who shares him with me) was born in the US (Shady Grove hospital, Rockville, MD). My Mum's family is Irish (from Midleton, Cork) her maiden name was Ahern - Dad's are true Londoners. Kal is Polish - from Oborniki in central Poland - he used to be dapple grey and now he's mostly fleabitten (with lots of chestnut in those flea bites) with a few dapples left on his bum and hind legs - his mane and tail are largely white now with a few strands of iron grey and some bay/chestnut. Under "breed" in his passport is a word that means "noble."

Also, Kal's passport is not his - so technically he's an illegal immigrant
