Help me pick a Pressure Release Girth Please...

Hi - I have not used either of these girths.... but one horse I know did not like a wider girth!

So it might be trial an error, good luck.
 
Im having a bit of a dilema with girths at the moment as well

But im undecided :-/ my lad is a bit sensative round the girth area and although the leather one is very good quality and very soft im not sure its the girth for him, ive been advised to go with a synthetic one as they are breathable and leather is not.
Its so confussing.

His girthing area is quite far back so he needs one with a foreward curve, after speaking to a person who sells the Mattes girth and who was very helpfull i might add, i think i need a bigger one as well.. :-/

Just a bit unsure about the sheepskin as never used one before, are they quite stable? theyre not likely to make the saddle slip at all are they??

Im after a dressage girth..

didnt come across the airborne ones on ebay and ive been looking daily as well.. :-)
 
I have done loads of personal research on this subject as I have a very sensitive mare and I now have a collection of girths that any retailer would be proud of!

I think some horse hate the curved girth and often the saddle will move.

Some horse hate the wide sternum shaped girths too and would prefer a thinner girth.

Some horses do not like the sheepskin, it can slip and it's really not practcal anyway for everyday use tbh.

What you need is is nice comfy, easy care but secure girth that does not need to be rammed on to tight. That's why I would not have anything other than "professionals choice", in the new breathable neopreen. Bit pricey, but worth every penny. Just ask my mare:D:D
 
I've always used a sheepskin cover of some description and found them brilliant- i only get one that covers his belly not the sides.

Will nose on professionals choice website now :-)
 
I have my super-sensitive mare in a sheepskin lined stud girth and she's very happy in it and she's never worn studs in her life! :p ;)
