help me please-lame when trotting back leg clicking when picked up

i have posted bad back post the other day, chiropracter booked monday , today i picked up his back leg and it clicked twice, hes lame in trot prefers to canter not lame in walk or canter please help if you have known of this issue or experianced this yourself news good or bad .

Locking stifle maybe? Does it make a clicking sound like when you crack your bones, or more of a 'boing'?

I dont think clicking or popping joints means anything, its to do with O2 coming out of solution when joint capsule is compressed, and is insignificant.
