For my horse photography website? I wanted something sophisticated sounding, relating to dressage or Arabs.

But Piaffe is taken, so is Pirouette. And i'm rubbish at thinking of names. Passage Photography doesn't seem to have a ring to it, and now i'm stumped.

Cookies to anyone who can suggest a good name. At the moment it's just 'E.Parkinson equine photography'. I hate my surname, it's utterly boring, and it's a bit longwinded. :rolleyes:

Want to get the website up and running soon, but it won't be much good without a name lol! :D
 
Ah, i really like Impulsion, but it's taken :(
Why does their facebook page come up on google, but if you google mine it just comes up with Parkinsons disease in horses??? Lol. (another reason for urgent new name, obviously!)
 
Can you not work a title round your initials? At the moment, it'd be EPEP, which has a ring to it :).

Personally, I'd not have something specific to a breed or discipline as you could limit to your market ... thinking from a search engine angle.
 
I had considered that but none of the combinations grabbed me :(
I also considered the discipline point... but i wanted something horsey, and tried a couple of generic horsey terms with no luck. Forelock Photography is taken.
I thought dressage seemed the least limiting, compared to jumping etc.

I guess any horsey terms would be cool.

I thought of TrotOn but i think it's a bit cheesy and i want to be taken seriously.

Flirtygerty- i like that one but it's taken :( The market is obviously flooded already, maybe it doesn't matter what my name is if there's already so many photographers out there...
 
Would there be an issue if i used the name of a horse? I can imagine some getting uppity about it.

Liked outline but that's taken too. Jeeze, i think i should give up now! Good job i have an interview for a real job tomorrow with all these photographers out there lol.
 
Hmmmm I guess if it was a well known horse and had sponsors they may have something to say about it, but I guess if Joe Bloggs' horse down the road was the name in question then Joe Bloggs might be pretty chuffed!

I expect Flash Photo's is gone too?
 
Both Flash Photography and Topline Photography are gone :(

So greatful for all these suggestions though, there's been some great ones... just a shame someone else thought of them first.
 
Hi again!

I've been thinking about this some more (helped by a little drink) and I really think the name should begin with E and second word should be photo's, photography, photographics as then the intials would be EP, which are yours.

Now I found a website that lists unusual words beginning with E, and I came across this one:

ESTRAPADE which means 'a horse's attempt to throw its rider' which I thought was pretty tongue in cheek.

So Estrapade Photo's (or whatever) I bet that ones not taken!

(or I just have a very funny sense of humour!)
 
OK this is the last suggestion (for today anyway!) have you thought about prefixing the word with Equi?

Such as Equiflash Photography, Equiline Photography.

I also thought of Equipark but that sounds just like a lorry park! lol

Also Mane Equine Photographer (now thats just silly!)

Am now giving up :o)
 
Gah! I got so excited over equiflash! There's already one, in France :( What's the chances??? Too many clever people out there!

There's also an Equisnap and an equishot.

You are a trouper though madhorse, thank you so much for all these ideas. I will have a think about Estrapade. Have some more virtual cookies, and help yourself to another drink ;)

i think that you are really fab at catching the inner being of the horses you photograph (you took am amazing one of either Milly or Diva last year - think it was Milly) soooooo

'That horse photographer' is cool, but i'm worried about google searches etc since it brings up every equestrian photographer ever, and i might end up very far back on the pages if i'm not getting many hits.

Stride Out is available (so far!) and i like that one. May be the winner since the others are all already being used. Is it better than TrotOn?

Aw thanks LL, that's really nice of you. I have gotten to know my camera better since then too so have hopefully improved.

I love innerequine! But it's taken by another company. Not photography, but i think it would cause problems if i added 'photography' to the end.

Pony pics is also taken.

Proponypics isn't though! :D
So that's 2/3 for the shortlist now!
