I'm in the U.S. I have one of the few Ifor Williams horse trailers here. I need to wire my trailer to work with the wiring on my pickup. Unfortunately, I'm unsure of the terms used on the wiring diagram as some of them are not the same as we use here in the U.S.
Here is what is printed on the inside of my trailer's door in regard to wiring.
1 - Yellow: LH Flasher - Is "Flasher" the same as turn signal?
2 - Blue: Rear Fog - In the U.S. blue wiring is usually for brakes and we don't have rear fog lights. Any ideas of what lights are Rear Fog on the Ifor Williams horse trailers?
3- White: Earth. We call the white wire "ground", so this must be the same.
4- Green: Right hand flasher. Turn signal?
5- Brown Right hand tail/wing light. No question on this one.
6- Red: LH and RH stop lights. I think these are what we call brake lights. They indicate the vehicle is slowing/braking/coming to a stop.
7-Black Left hand tail/wing. No question on this one.
Finally, the bonus question. I actually have 8 wires, the 8th being a pink color. Does anyone know what the pink wire is for?
If someone would be so kind as to confirm my assumptions and give a go at answering my questions, I'd be deeply grateful, and it will help me match the American wiring on my truck.
