Help My Horse Is One Big Scab!!

My poor little abbey is just in a right state

, after coming back off loan she just looks rough!! No muscle, big fat belly, and rain scald everywhere, shes a sensitive little mare but has never had it before, I just think her immune system is rubbish now.

Can someone give me any tips or supplements etc to boost her up,shes now on good grass, molly chaff and pony nuts, im off after work to go and get a load of stuff to get started on her rain scald asap, any advice would be great!!

An obvious one, but are you using pink powder?

I would consider using global herbs restore as a pick me up. I found it was helpful when my ned was looking a bit rough. As Scribbles said pink powder is very good to.

I was thinking Pink Powder, so will get some of that in a bit, whats the best thing for the rain scald?

For rain scald I've used sudocreme on the scabs and then fed feedmark equidermis, it worked well on my mare and she had terrible rainscald.

Echinacea might be worth a try - it does help to boost the immune system. Even my vet said he had heard of some good results after using it!

i would go for good old aloe vera juice has so many propties it would take for ever to write? i would change her chaff to alfa it has much more goodness in it. Does she have the recommened feed amount if not i would have her on avit/min supplement. Is she wormed and are her teeth rasped up to date?!X

Ye her teeth, bck, wormer etc are all done now shes been back home with me, thanks for all the advice guys it really helps to have lots of suggestions! x
