Help! my little dog (bitch) has just been 'got'

She is in season, went out of my sight for no more than 2 mins and she is stuck back to back with the farmers sheepdog - nightmare!

Can anyone tell me how long they are stuck together and what I should do now - aarrgghhhhhhh :confused:

I'm so upset :(
 
Take your dog to the vet ?? might be a good idea if you don't want puppies.

Get your dog spade at some point ?

Keep her on the lead if she's in season ?

Anything between 2 and 30 minutes normally....try not to let your dog panic iit can cause problems if she tried to rip away from the male.
 
Don't try to separate them now, there is nothing you can do about that and you may cause her injury if you try. Go to the vets asap, I think they can do the equivalent of the morning after pill.
 
She's back .... feeling sorry for herself and looking guilty.

I have just phoned the vets, there is an injection they can give her at the end of her season, she is booked in next week - phew!

Bl**dy yob dog :mad: they would be nice puppies sheep dog/working cocker cross but I don't want to go there.

She's not going out in the garden again :eek:
 
Poor girly.

Our girl (RIP)was "got" in our back garden* - Jip (random terrier collie cross) scaled the wall to get to her - crazy what dogs will do to get it!! Nothing can he helped now, off to the vets like you say and definitely worth looking into getting her done when you can.

*the product was my darling Baba-lou bagel whom I loved without comparison. :)
 
I have thought about having her spade, but I was thinking about her having nice little working cocker puppies one day.... not blimin sheep dogs! :p

I expect the injections will cost a fortune .. oh well :confused:
 
In that case - reinforce the boundaries tenfold! The only place I have been 100% confident about leaving Lil out and about is my current back garden - 8ft walls and if someone gets in, thy deserve nookie!! :D

My staffie bitch (previous one) managed to get entwined when she was supposed to be clear - like nearly a week after I thought she had finished. So I put up with 3 weeks of a manic dog who was kept on a lead, finally shes in the clear, take her down to the yard and little wotsit was away with the yard lab in oh, 10 mins. So she went to the vet next day and was spayed - a little earlier than intended as they had wanted her insides to settle after her season

AND I had endured the embarrasement of our lovely non english speaking polish cleaner (wish I could still afford one!) - carefully retrieving said staffies little panty pads, folding them up and putting them on my bed!!

Oooo....I have a male GSP here wanting to know your address please!!! He says a 6ft scale in working trials is no issue, so is sure he could cope with the extra 2 foot given half a chance!!!! :D
