Hi all!

As the title indicates, my pony is a mud monster and I have a show next Sunday. He's a dales pony, and goes out in the day and comes in at night. He was doing quite well at avoiding the mud, but since the snow and the rain over the last couple of days, he has mud dreads! As i'm doing M&M classes, I can't trim too much feather, how much do you think is acceptable, once I've washed all the mud out to stop this happening again?

Also has anyone tried any dry shampoo products on their horses, what ones can you recommend for his body?

Thank you!!!

Does he have a rug on? If not lightweight sheet. Good groom and baby oil for feathers. Early show and too early for summer coat. As long as you are presentable.... If he is black then lucky you..... 2 greys and a brown and white trad.... The two choccy coloured ponies are so easy.... Mud coloured !

His body, face and tail are easy to clean, feathers not so easy! Thank god he's black!

Was thinking about washing the mud out, and then trimming them a bit? what do you think?

I feel your pain highlands!
