Hi, it has only just happened today. My young TB mare refused to walk into my IW trailer, she walked straight on before and when she goes with her buddy, but today she looked around and refused to get on the trailer. Got her on in the end but had problems getting her back on to come home. She is normally so good. Travels fine, but as I have mainly do this on my own, I really really do not want to have her become a bad loader!
Help and advise please.
Nothing has happened to her in the trailer as far as I am aware :)

First and biggest, don't let her even BEGIN to think you are stressed out about it!

So she looked round and said "Nah, don't think I fancy it today" and you did . . what?

WHat I'd do next is keep the trailer hitched to your vehicle and feed her in the trailer for a week or so so she forgets there was an issue.

BUt don't let it and her stress you out!

Second DOD, they all have a look esp when young, feed in the box, walk through it at every opportunity and don't tense up!
