I've just bought a Welsh Sec D mare and will be going to pick her up in two weeks time. Currently, she's referred to as 'The Welshy' and I'd quite like to give her an actual name, as she'd be one of a few welshys on my yard. She's a very sweet mare, with a very gentle soul. She's 14.3hh, chestnut roan, chunky and very true to the breed.
I also have another mare named Clover, so if it ties in with her name at all, that'd be amazing, but it doesn't have to as I'd rather just find a name that suits her and I'm so unimaginative, I'm really struggling haha.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Will try to post pictures of her on my profile.

Daffodil is a traditional polo name and suits her breed and time of year. Or how about Sorrel?

She's beautiful!

Cariad (darling in Welsh)

From your description (not seen a photo), she sounds like daughter's friend's mare. She is called Cagney, so I thought of Lacey! But to go with Clover other flower names are good... Poppy, Rose, Marigold/Goldie, or maybe Honey... I also like Cariad (rode one once!).

A simple Welsh name! Del = pretty Cari (short version of cariad = love) Rhodd = Gift Llon=Happy Blodyn = Flower etc etc etc Enjoy her nothing like a Welsh!!!
