I have finally decided to invest in a five pint breastplate, but not sure which to get?? LOVE the Devoucouz ones but do not want to spend that much, so can anyone reccomend one (under £130 preferrably) or give their views on the ones i have found below?

EQvvs;

Jefferies;

Townend;

Any other suggestions/ reviews on the above greatly appreciated for this tough decision!!!!

I've got a Salamo one that I bought at Badminton HT 18 months ago. I really like it! It was considerably cheaper than the better known brands.

I can't find a link though :(

Jazzy wearing his breastplate. Obviously I've taken the martingale attachment off for dressage …

It also comes with free sheepskin pads as well as the leather ones.

Liking the look of that!!! Do you know how much or thereabouts they cost? Will try and search for a link though I can't seem to find one either..!

I've got the EQvvs one, love it :D Looks very much like the devoucoux version and the leather is very nice on it too. Several friends have the jeffries one and rate that too, however I did prefer mine as I liked the green elastic with havana leather compared to jeffries who only did it with black/green or havana/blue.

on the webbing is it green and gold or green and white? I cant tell from its ad picture!

I have a salamo one! Really like it but am selling it as I just never useit! And can't warrant £85 worth of breastplate sitting around! Mines extra full and brown though so doubt it's suitable! I think I got the website link for ish_lover or someone with a similar username!

O. I really like that a lot. I don't need one at all but I really want one now! damn you all!! :D :D

I bought the jeffries one and it is beautiful! comes up quite small though - didnt fit my irish draught :-(

Unicorn Saddlery (google it) in taunton have 15% off every sat in Jan and they stock it, might be worth ringing on a sat and see if you can get the discount mail order! thats about £25 off :-)
