Help needed- emergency farrier essex/suffolk?

Soooo, after being shod yesterday the annoying accident-prone lump decided he would twist a shoe in his stable last night (may have something to do with baby swallows flapping madly at the windows and scaring him!).
It is really badly twisted, he appears to be treading on one of the quarter clips and the clenches on the nails are inside his hoof. Definitely need a good farrier, don't want him badly damaging his hoof.
Only problem is we recently moved and our farrier is travelling a long way to come to us- he doesn't mind when he gets paid for full set of shoes and a trim, but don't know if he will have time to come up today, and we don't know of a closer farrier yet.
So, my question is, does anyone know a farrier on the essex/suffolk borders or somewhere nearby that would come out? We are happy to then use them regularly if it helps, as we've been thinking it would be useful to have a closer farrier anyway, for situations such as these! Thanks :o
 
I'm east of colchester, have just got a text from a friend with her farriers number which I am about to try, but I understand that farriers will be busy and may not want to come out last-minute, so want to have a back up.
 
Scott has said he will come out :) phew! Annoying injury-prone horses! Lets just hope he hasn't damaged it too much, was planning for xc this weekend! Thanks TJ&Ozzie:)
 
Scotty is very good, doesn't like getting his truck dirty though! lol

If you need a hacking companion in the area I'm not far away and happy to box up too. Are you on a yard?
 
No, we've got them in the back garden :) moved here about 8 months ago for that reason. Its nice to meet someone horsey in the area, have been desperate for good places to hack (and a hacking buddy would be nice too!) :D
 
well thats ok, you can't actually get a van up to the stables because of the mud, so they get done on the drive- the nice, paved drive! :p
