Soooo, after being shod yesterday the annoying accident-prone lump decided he would twist a shoe in his stable last night (may have something to do with baby swallows flapping madly at the windows and scaring him!).
It is really badly twisted, he appears to be treading on one of the quarter clips and the clenches on the nails are inside his hoof. Definitely need a good farrier, don't want him badly damaging his hoof.
Only problem is we recently moved and our farrier is travelling a long way to come to us- he doesn't mind when he gets paid for full set of shoes and a trim, but don't know if he will have time to come up today, and we don't know of a closer farrier yet.
So, my question is, does anyone know a farrier on the essex/suffolk borders or somewhere nearby that would come out? We are happy to then use them regularly if it helps, as we've been thinking it would be useful to have a closer farrier anyway, for situations such as these! Thanks
