help needed lamness !!!

one of my horses came in from field lame, swelling up leg, no cuts, can get foot sore now and then when been dry wheather , poluticed and given bute and cold hosed leg , dodnt think abcess but poulticed to rule this out, any ideas greatly appreciated

If there is swelling and heat I would box rest depending on how severe lameness is (or atleast have them in for 12 hours if he/she is quite badly lame) bandage and hose twice a day. If there is no improvement then call the vet.

I am always worried about puncture wounds especially near joints so tend to call vet in immediately if my horse goes lame.
