In what context were are you asking?

As a veterinary practice? which I'm sure several of us are qualified to comment on..

or as a vet school?

They are neither! The RCVS is the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. It is not to be confused with the RVC who are the Royal Veterinary College based in Potters Bar in Herts! It does appear the general public think they are the same thing - perhaps you could include that in your survey! Even H&H reporters get it muddled up - I even wrote to them one to try and clarify it after one such muddled article but they never bothered printing my letter.

the RCVS is the UK governing body for vets, practices and nurses. as a vet you register with them when you qualify, (vets that are able to practice have MRCVS after their name).

The RCVS is a regulatory body for the veterinary profession.

Sorry to those of you who know about this but for those who don't, I'll clarify

The RCVS is made up of 3 parts,
- as a regulator - to ensure all vets/practices are following the code of conduct and to maintain a register (MRCVS)
- as a 'royal college' to award diplomas/fellowships for further development and recognition
- as a trust - to support further development/research to ensure to continued improvements in the veterinary field.

The RCVS website is useful to help you identify local veterinary practices and if you are interested in a career in the veterinary profession. It is not a veterinary practice or teaching school.

the RVC is the veterinary school in London, there are several vet's school around the country, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Cambridge, Bristol, Liverpool, London and Nottingham. If you are interested in studying vet medicine it is worth approaching all of them to find out entry requirements.

sorry to rabbit on hope this is enough info!

Thanks for all your comments.
I'm a vet doing further training during one topic we were asked to find out what the pubic knew about the RCVS.
