Help needed re Vet /court claim .Is a Vetting PPE classed as a Contract ???

i have a matter in my local small claims court regarding a vet who i feel was negligent when vetting a horse for me a few years ago .

Anyway , It seems to all be going well enough , however the vet solicitors are trying to say various exclusions apply to my claim because a vetting , 5 stage , PPE , is not classed as a contract between me and the vet , etc
does anyone think or know that it is or would be classed as a contract ???

i have looked online and found a few bits and pieces that suggest a ppe is in fact a contract , on RCVS website but i have lost the part that seemed to pinpoint it word for word , anyone have any suggestions or where i can find the wording that i need ??

i wouldn't be posting this under your username as you have your locations and photos of your horses which could weaken your case if you start talking about it on the net.
