Really need advice/help.
A novice friend bought a very nervous horse from a dealer
:-( and although she is a very sweet mare she is so nervous and my friend is unable to deal with her and is not fair on either of them for her to keep her.
She is happy to cut her losses an sell her for less than she paid, as long as she can find someone with the time she deserves.
i have now taken the mare on and been doing lots of ground work and am able to lean over her tack her up and lunge her but am to big to ride her, i did have a very experienced friend of mine sit on her last week and she was a dream - she then got on her 2 days later and she just panicked and we are unsure why.
she has had her back / teeth etc done. and all is fine.
she is a very pretty welsh and would make a lovely broodmare if nothing else.
i have advertised her on all big sites and locally and had lots of enquiries from kids, but no one has even been to see her:-( i have been very honest and just want someone to spend the time with her.
any advise would be appreciated.
sorry really long

i now of a horse that did this and this girl tryed backing it and it through her over a gate braking 3 ribs
no one would get on this horse of course i fell in love with it and re backed it cause noone would after the last peformence
it needs someone convident to back it but slowly maybe she spooked at her you need to take it slowly you needed to lean over for a couple of days for her to get use to it
and she will need it alot maybe if you can get pass this stage and just do a little then sell cause as you now novice do not go with novice

i would love to do that but i am way to big and i do not want to fall in love with this little mare as i cannot have her :-(

ive been doing fine up until now but her owner is paying for her and i havent got time for 2 and even when she comes round she is not suitable for her owner.

so would like someone else to bond with her and gain her trust as im really falling in love with her but i am big built and 5'9 and she is 13.1

in that case i would sell or if your friend can afford it send her away to be backed and schooled and then sell
as that horse will not be suitable for that person
