My OH and I are having one of those random debates only stubborn couples can get into...
Speaking completely hypothetically, I said that if we were to buy a horse somewhere in Europe (e.g. Denmark, where he's from), we would transport it by lorry and ferry / Eurostar. I believe that most racehorses travelling to nearby countries such as Ireland and France would be transported overland.
He reckons that these days racehorses for big group 1 races travel by plane (even if just from Ireland to UK), often on the morning of the race.
Any racing bods out there who can help us settle this..?
