Hi,

I'm after some help and advice from all you lovely peeps! I'm horse shopping after selling my Shire x recently, only I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with the whole process!

I'm looking for a ID type (sane & sensible), 16h -17h, 7 - 12 yrs, gelding (a must) and preferably not a grey (i'm hopeless at cleaning!). I've got a budget of around £3200, preferably to include tack.

I've been looking on the usual websites (horsequest/mart/deals etc) but everything that seems suitable is either in Kent or oop North. I don't mind travelling but as I live in wiltshire I could clock up some serious mileage!

Can anyone recommend any dealers located in and around wiltshire?

Might have what you're looking for nearly...if you don't mind the 17.2hh or 17.1hh mark.

What are you looking for, use, work etc?

Hiya,

Yes, I'd be interested :) my shire was 17.2

I'm looking for a riding club all rounder for a bit of everything - sj, xc, dressage, sponsored rides (I discovered the Barbury ones last year and am gutted I'll miss the one next week!)

Em

is a big 15.3 to small, i have a suffolk punch x tb. oh and shes 5.. but the safest horse possible. just very green she will have a bash at jumping but is still very babyish

What exactly do you want this horse to do? There is a super sounding ex household cavalry 17.3 ID advertised for loan (leading to sale) on NFED, but of course he's not a youngster. If you're interested its www.nfed.co.uk. horse is based Blandford Forum.

Thanks for the link. I'm looking for something to get back into riding club with - camps, rallies and teams. An allrounder that could turn his hoof to dressage, sj, xc, sponsored rides etc.

I realise that older horses have a lot to offer but as ever money is always tight and I'd prefer to invest in a younger horse and (hopefully) grow old together :)
