help never been hunting before ?

hi just wanted some advice im going hunting on saturday my first time ! i have a grey tweed caldene jacket that ive used for in the show ring but do i have to wear a black or blue jacket out hunting ? also i have a champion hat with the silver strip down the front can i wear this or do i have to wear a velvet one ? any other info would be great thanks :confused:

Hi - a tweed jacket will be fine out hunting. You don't have to wear a black or blue jacket. If you start hunting regularly you might want to invest in one because they keep you warm and dry, but it's never incorrect to wear tweed. Your hat will be fine too.

Don't get too worried about dressing 'correctly'. Most hunts will welcome you as a new member and would prefer that you came and enjoyed yourself, than stayed at home because you didn't have all the gear.

thanks for your advice thats great ! just worried about turning up and getting turned away . nervous though and excited at the same time :D
