Every one has been on at me to get out hunting - but bold hacking but dont really jump - and wondered who would i hunt with - im based in essex/herts bord and how much is it?
Help - newbie hunting how/where/price

There are plenty of hunts in your area - if you visit www.mfha.co.uk then you will be able to call up their map and find the one nearest you.
At the moment we are engaged in autumn hunting, which is much steadier than main season gallopy, gallopy, jumpy, jumpy. Under the present act the mastership will be utilisinge exemptions to make it as close to pre-ban activity as they can. Autumn Hunting is usually around £20-£30 for a morning depending on the hunt and your age etc.
Main season which starts in the beginning of November and runs to Mid-March/beginning of April or later costs rather more, around the £50-70 mark, but you get a full day from 11am till 4pm or later. Depending on fitness of pony & rider, the light etc. There is no need to join the mad front thrusters, hunt jumps are usually fairly low and generally there are a whole crowd of non-jumpers who know the routes round.
