I am looking to rent a field (anything from 2 acres upwards) with or without shelter/water/electricity in the Wellingborough village area. Would be fantastic to find one Wilby/Mears Ashby/sywell/Earls Barton/little harrowden direction. Anything
considered. Can provide fencing if
needed.

I have looked in every saddlery and horse feed shop locally, I have also contacted all the local parishes about their common land (most have sold theirs!), I have phoned as many farms as I could get the numbers of. I am now at my wits end :( the only thing I have found there ended up being a bit if a price war and as I felt it was too expensive £450 for 5 very poor acres and 4 stables it was becoming even more expensive.
I don't really want to go into livery as I would like the flexibility of my own field/yard and give my two boys somewhere for them to just have fun!

I am just hoping there is someone out there who can help :)
Any help appreciated. Thank you.

I really think u will be lucky to find anything cheaper in this area. My friend had a small yard opposite my house and she paid £400 for 4 very odd sized stables and 3 acres of land I think £450 is about the going rate for what you found.

Like I said though. It ended up being a bit of a price war so would have been a hell of a lot more. Although you say it's the going rate I have quite a few friends paying a lot less for more so I think it's all about right place right time! Am just hoping that i can find it and that just maybe someone will read this and say I know of somewhere :)

It's probably a ling shot, but have you contacted Wellingborough and Northampton borough councils? I live in Kettering and know that kbc have land they rent for grazing? I enquired about it a while ago and there is a huge waiting list for land in Kettering, but it might be different for wbro/nton area?

Might be a little out of your area, have a look on Welland Valley Feeds website; there was a yard for rent with 5 acres in Hannington not too far from Sywell, or is that the yard which was rubbish?!

That was the yard Angieandben it doesn't look like it did in the picture any more sadly, the lady who is renting it has worn it all down, stable and field and the lady who owns it doesn't know about horses but also lives in London so doesnt know how it looked so was still trying to get the same money for land that wasnt in the same condition.
