Help! My boy is becoming more of a pain in the a**e every day, and this morning decided to turn his nose up at his breakfast as it had some tendon supplement in it.

Does anyone have any sneaky ideas on how to make him eat it?

Thanks!

It's Tendoneaze (a bit stinky) and it is in with vitality cubes and Garlic. I have added some sunflower oil to keep it all stuck together. I thought the Garlic would mask the smell of the supplement, and I know he loves Garlic, but he just turns his nose up at it :(

Mine was the same - try reducing the garlic a little bit as too much can make things upalatable and add a little chaff of somekind doesn't have to be a lot but just something to mix it all together with - bet he'll eat it mine is extremely fussy but sometimes less is more

We use mint in feeds for the fussy ones. It seems to work, You can buy it in all feed stores a good scoop full.
Or molasses stirred in.
Shredded carrots as well

Mint often helps or maybe some speedi-beet, mix the supplement into the beet before soaking somehow that seems to disguise and disperse the supplement better.
Is tendoneaze the global herbs one? They can be tricky to get into fussy horses and the smell is quite strong but it might be worth checking as they do make a liquid version of a lot of their supplements.

Yes it is the global herbs one - it is pretty strong smelling stuff!

Thank you for all of your help - I chucked a bit of chaff in and a good splash of water and he seemed ok with it, fingers crossed that problem is solved!

Thanks again :)
