Please can someone give me tips on how to sell my saddle, ive had it up on Preloved and horse gossip, even took it 40 miles down the road for a lady to try it on (it fitted perfectly) for her then to say ill give you £50!!!! Had enough :(

Try Michelle Miller, she's normally quite good and will sell it for you for a percentage, or Saddles Direct as they're both local to you

Have you got any local Saddlers who may take it in to sell or but off you? The one by me sells and makes comission, so you don't get as much maybe but a whole lot less hassle

Saddle direct take a big cut! Might ring a few saddlers! It's a beautiful Ryder saddle barely used and this woman had the cheek to offer me £50! Lol

Saddles Direct & other saddlery who sell secondhand are entitled to make a profit, or do you not agree? I am generally very fed up with people who think that selling saddles is a piece of cake. It isn't. Ok, rant over......

Michelle will take a much smaller cut than Saddles Direct http://www.mmillersaddler.co.uk/

She sold 3 saddles for my family over the last 2 years with no problems, 2 of which were really old unfashionable ones, she's well known & established and has connections with showing so should be good, it just may take a little time that's all.

Why don't you put a price on your preloved ad to avoid £50 offers, that might help, just a thought, hope you manage to get it sold :)

I have sold a few on Preloved I think it really depends on the make of saddle alot of the time I had an Ideal Jessica Dressage saddle I could have sold that ten times over, it was on there a week someone drove about 40 miles to come and buy it, yet I had a fieldhouse Dressage that took about a year to sell, did you advertise the saddle with a price? And I agree some people want things for nothing its not easy, how about ebay, or some of your local Facebook groups where you can advertise stuff.

Just looked on preloved is yours the working hunter 18" ? I would put a price on the advert a bit above what your looking for, if still no interest lower the price this is what I would do, its a shame as the seat and saddle is what I am looking for but I fear it will be too narrow for my horse she is an xwide at least.
