help on size ? ..

Hey sorry if this has been posted before.... :s

I was wanting some advise from you guys on what size / type horse I could get as Im looking into buying a new horse ....

Im 20, very experianced rider, 7.7 stone, 107Ib ... and im 5 foot 3.

what would you say the smallest i could go to ? Im such a softy for the welsh ponies ...

i have ridden a 13hh welsh pony and i'm 5ft6!! dont know my weight!! but im a size 8 and 10!!!! no probs!!

to be honest you could easily fit on anything within reason your weight isnt going to restrict you and neither is your height

im the same size as you and i ride my sec A and my friends sec B, and 13 handers!!! my own riding horse is 14.3 and i look no different in size to a 13hh pony!!!

I would say ideal would be 14.2 so you can event etc

I'm 5ft 4 and 120lb and I was recommended to go for anything 14hh and up. Because I'm quite small, but experienced, I have a 15.2hh thoroughbred and he's perfect for me. I wouldn't go above 16.2hh though but it really depends on the build of horse too.

I'm 5ft 3 and ride my daughter 12.3h New Forest. people say I look ok on him! And he's so cheap to keep.
