hi all,
i am new on here.
is there anyone in south east cornwall that would be willing to let me try there wintec,i don't want to buy one unless i know it fits, had to many saddles now, nothing fits.i need a 16 1/2inch,vsd. we have some gullets,my friend has one but its to big for him. 17 1/2. hes only 12.2hh.
would be very gratfull.thankyou.

Why don't you get a saddler out to try one on your horse? I still had my Wintec fitted before I bought it.

Without being rude, have you had a saddler out to fit your horse if you're trying a lot of saddles and nothing fits?

yes had a few out, each with 20-30 saddles nothing went near,.they don't like wintecs!so don't carry them, was thinking treeless? what are your veiws? he is slightly bum high, if the saddle fits up front it don't behind, and vice-versa?

I dont know anything about treeless TBH. Ridden in one and it was v uncomfortable but that was probably just because it's so different to what i'm used to.

I found a saddler who sold Wintecs and just got her out to fit my horse.

Personally wouldn't waste my money on another Wintec but that's a different thread. If you want synthetic why don't you look at Thorowgood?

TBH the amount of money you will spend on saddlers etc if your horse is difficult to fit, I would get a good saddler out and get a made to measure.

did you try a few different thorowgoods? as they do a range of different types to suit all horses i.e. i have a TB thorowgood special designed for tb's but they do cob saddles and your bog standart saddle too. and the thorowgood lady did all my fitting.
