Help on yard please!

Sorry long,but just need some help. Well if you read previous post you would know that the yo got kicked of yard, well now there will only be two liveries left and land owner is thinking of upping the price until other liveries come on!! Is he aloud to do that? Also I was thinking about making a peice of paper with rules on any ideas of rules? Also how can I get my 3yr old to be calm on his own when tied up on the yard? As he will b e on his own more often now sorry so many questions!

The land owner can do whatever he wants its his land unless your contract states over wise.
Rules or guidelines for memebers of a yard can be found on BHS website, you can print them off and put them around your yard.
With your 3yo you have to be comforting to him, he will be antsy because he is on his own and frightened. Just comfort him and when he stands nicely praise him. You need to make it seem like being on his own isn't scary.

Have read your other thread, and it sounds like a mess! If it's a great yard though, it'll be worth weathering the storm to see what the new YM will do (fingers crossed it's your mum!).

Unless your contract has some sort of clause about the price being fixed, then there's no reason why the YO can't up the livery costs. It might not come to that though if the 11 horse gap the YM is leaving is filled quickly enough, especially as it should mean 11 livery fees rather than just 2!

When it comes to rules, I'd start thinking about the problems (not brushing up after mucking out etc), and make sure there's something in so they're not problems anymore. Prevention is always better than cure and all that!
