I was wondering if anyone could give me an honest opinion on what they think is best? I am leaving school soon and I have to choose 1 out of 3 paths. Either go to north highland college or Edinburgh-Oatridge (equine studies course) or 3rd choice is take a gap year and do my SVQ's and BHS exams at a local yard? I can't make my mind up and would love some opinions. Thank you :)

Don't go to Oatridge. No one respects the qualifications from there, it's 3 years of how to tie up a haynet, fill up a water bucket and how to put a head collar on a horse whilst the rest of the time you are drunk or hungover. It is a bit of a joke of a place. We won't employ anyone straight out of there.

In horses qualifications mean very little. Most people go for experience over paper.
