my mare is about to undergo surgery for pastern fusion,does anyone have any experience of this?

I am sorry to hear that.

I cant help you I am afraid, but my horse is going to the vet school tomorrow with possible pastern arthritis and I am so so very worried that we may have bad news.

I hope all goes well for you and your mare. You must be very worried.
