HELP PLEASE? My horses heel bulb is swollen and warm

Check for any thorns or anything else sharp embedded. Could have stood on a sharp stone and bruised it. If your horse will allow, fill buckets with warm salt water to draw anything out, stand your horses foot in it and soak maybe whilst eating a haynet. Keep changing the water if it gets dirty, use your sense here. After doing that then hose with cold water. I was advised this by a Vet when our horse had a foreign body in her frog.

If your still worried then call the Vet.

Could it be nettle sting, earlier this year my farrier advised purple spraying our horses frogs as they smelled awful but it wasn't thrush, just the damp weather, I also spray their heels, just in case, smell has gone but I still spray as we have very damp ground in places
