Are there any side effects from Kaolin?
His poop isn't watery today, it's more like yoghurt, so you'd think I would be hoping that's a good sign eh? He's alert, happy and well in himself and isn't dehydrated.
He's been starved since Thursday 9pm (as per vets advice as he didn't start diarrhoea again until 5am Friday morning) and I'm currently boiling a chicken breast fillet to mince and split between two light meals of chicken/rice today.
However, I'm even more anxious because his poop was black. To me this would usually mean alot of blood in it, but could it be a side effect of the Kaolin? If he has that much blood in his faeces, you'd expect him to look ill or in pain and he is as happy, bouncy and waggy as always.
Can't get hold of the vet. It just goes to voicemail and it's the on-call vet's number on the surgery answer phone. I assume he's talking to another client or out of signal range.
