Hello, everyone.

I am mona! I was wondering if you think if i should move yards? I am at this fantastic dressage yard, every facilite at the yard you could ever want, except that there is no turnout. This is not uncommon in my area, but will it be detrimental to my horse's health?

Also I am not very sure of the method of schooling, my trainer is a great dressage rider but she uses rolkur. What do you think?
She also believes that my 6 year old warmblood is a potential superstar (has movement and attitude to die for) and she already has us working PSG and competing elementary.

soo many questions, can you help me please to make my mind up?

Hi Mona,

I think it sounds as though your instructor is being too progressive with your young horse, I personally don't like rolkur and wouldn't keep my horse at a yard without turnout- so if I were you I would move yards... However I understand alot of people do use rolkur and don't turnout their horses so I guess it cannot be that detrimental to horses. I think it is a choice you will need to make yourself

Guess it depends on if you like your horse to go around with its nose stuck in it's chest and lead a life confined to a stable 24/7 but if its working at PSG and competing elementary at 6 is what you are wanting to acheive then stay at your current yard.

for god sake this is so stupid now! you are all complaining that trolls are stupid and pointless but you're giving them exactly what they want by commenting stupid and pointless posts about how funny it is.

My post was neither actually, I said exactly what I'd say to either a geniune person or if it was a trolling person.
I was just explaining to you why some replies were different to others.
