Help please - seeking Samantha Atkin or Finn

Hi everyone,

Looking for some help in tracking down Samantha Atkin in the Broughton, Cheshire area.

I advertised my horse Finn on Project Horses and he went to live with her at the end of 2007 after he was deemed unrideable due to intermittent lameness. The last contact I had was a couple of years ago and since then I've not had a response to emails and have been unable to get in touch.

I read an article on H&H from 2009 about a Samantha Atkin who was fined for selling a laminitic horse on which was subsequently put to sleep.

I desperately need to know if this is Finn, or just to know that he's OK. Finn is a 16.2hh TBxID Bay Gelding with a white sock on his off hind leg and a white blaze.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Is your horse freezemarked or microchipped?

He is freezemarked but I haven't got a definite record of the number, even on all my photos the freezemark is unclear or covered up.

From memory it was 3546. I have loads of photos to help ID him too.

Ring Farmkey or freezemark up and ask them to help you find the correct freezemark details and ask if they have current owner details etc

Hi both,

Thanks so much for your replies. Finn is in his 20's, he was sold to me as an 11 year old but I believe he was more like 15 or 16 and I had him for eight years.

I have seen the article on H&H which is what prompted by worried request to track him down.

That's a good idea about going to the Council, I will try that as I need to know something.
