Just wondering if anyone could shed any light on this for me.
I've had my horse ~7 years, when I got her she had a scar (from an operation, it's very neat) pretty much the full length on the outside of the cannon bone on her off hind. It was briefly mentioned when she was vetted that she would not be able to show because of it, but that was the only comment about it - nothing else negative at all.
In all the years I've had her it has never caused any trouble. However, recently the area under this scar has come up in a large, very hard, pain free lump. Nothing has really changed in the amount/intensity of work she is doing but the location of it makes me think that whatever led to the operation and scar on this leg is now coming back as it where.
I'm going to get the vet out to have a look (a vet friend had a quick look the other day for me and didn't seem to be too worried about it
), but in the mean time it would be good to see if anyone has any ideas about what it could be?
