Help please - when to scan??

Hi there
My mare was scanned by vet last Tues (5th May) she had a 5cm follicle on left ovary was brought to stud straight away and AI'd that evening and AI'd again on Thurs. She was scanned on Friday afternoon and had just ovulated. I know she should be scanned within 15-18 days but is it 15-18 days after she was first covered, last covered or from when she ovulated?? Thanks!

I would say 14-16 days from ovulation - at 17 days, the follicle implants in the uterus and if there ARE 2 - and close together - it is them almost impossible to thin them out. (Although hopefully the vet would have mentioned if there was a 2nd follicle big enough to 'pop'.)
