Sorry I know you'll all want something juicy but I can't find the answer anywhere else so here goes.

Does anyone know where I can get covers for the light switches outside my stables. My big horses all have a habit of switching their lights on and we look like Blackpool Illuminations all year round.

Any suggestions where I can get covers / cages etc would be really helpful.

Thankyou.

I would have thought the local electrical wholesaler ( most sell the to the general public) or possibly even a DIY store. I thought most outdoor switches have a rubbery cover over them anyway to make them weather tight.

Yes thats what I thought but I have been everywhere and no-one sells anything remotely suitable. They don't have rubbery covers as the stables have the big overhang / oak beams thing going on and are waterproof. Have even tried the stables suppliers fixtures n fittings depts but no joy.

Thankyou for link Pelly, they seem to be for electric sockets as opposed to the switches but will look more at site later. Thankyou again.

You'll have to buy the whole IP65 or 66 rated switch (the cover is part of the rating) - screwfix do have them and were cheapest when we got ours, other than that B+Q do them and any electrical wholeseller will

They don't have anything suitable but what a great site, have seen some other really useful things.
