Ok,i really need some help with my 3yr old apaloosa!
First of all he is a complete t*t when by himself on the yard, non stop moving from side to side when tied up even with a hay net i try and reassure him,me being used to my old pony who was only 13.1 gets absulutly terrified terrified and he senses it too! And he gets rather bargy too when he wants to be!
Also when i catch him he just takes ages to move as he just plants his feet in the ground, i reassure him and be nice to him and after about a minute he walks on again.
Aswell, when being ridden by himself he becomes really really bargy when i get off and lead him because he wont move. The other day he dragged me along a road and i could no longer hold on to him and he galloped along the country lane trotted back up to me i got him he did it again and just galloped along the lane jumped a fence into a field and galloped all the way home. I was terrified i tried so hard but his neck just locks when he is dragging me
Also how can i get him settled in a stable? Put him in there today and when i went round the corner and came back and he was rearing, its as though he had to have me there for reassurance.
Ikno its a trust thing in between us as i can feel that there is no bond or trust there yet and he has just fallen in love with his feild mate thats why he feels so aggitated when alone, and i dont want to give up on him because i know how good he is with other ponies!
Sorry ive ranted in :|
