On Monday morning we went up to the yard to find one of the horses stood with his back legs tucked right under, shaking and very reluctant to walk, It was raining and had been all night, he had his rain sheet on and felt warm under it, he has lived out all winter with a 100g rug at maximum and was nice a toasty, we brought him in a warmed him up and rung the vet, he came down and took some blood for testing as he thought he could be Insullin Resistant, He put him on box rest for a few days and got the test results back today and he was clear from being Insullin Resisant but possible muscle damage. Has any one everexperience this before and know what could have been causing the way he was in the field? Also could someone tell me the sign's of symptoms of a cold horse? Thank you in advance x
