Hi,
I have a TB who I have owned for nearly three years but Im gradually losing my confidence with him. I can cope with his typical TB spooky behaviour but when we are with a least one other horse and we go for a canter he gets so excited that he can throw in huge bucks and does a rodeo act. He's perfectly fine on his own!
It makes me very weary of going out hacking with others if we're upping the pace, going on pleasure rides and last year I braved hunting a few times until he threw me off during a rodeo show!
Advice welcomed, or perhaps suggestions of some re-schooling liveries who may be able to help.

Many thanks

You don't specify where you are in South West but Charlotte Armstrong in Gloucester has raving reviews!

IF you are brave enough and your friends are okay going probably much quicker. Get into canter, get his head up and push him on until he has nothing left. Hold a neckstrap and don't pull back, just push. of course you may not be brave enough and this is where a friend may come in helpful or you may not have enough fields in a row to tire him - renting a gallops may become helpful here too.
