Help....... Pulled - shaved dock

Help advise needed!
We are fairly new to the horde world having got my daughter her first pony last year, at first she was being kept in livery, there was a misunderstanding and her tail dock was pulled maybe shaved! We have been letting this grow up ever since that was feb she now looks very untidy like she has a hedgehog at the top of her tail.
Will this ever grow back??

Yes, if it looks like a hedgehog now it IS growing back.

Yes, it will - you just need to get past the fluffy bunny tail/hedgehog look . . . it can take a while, though . . . a good year before it looks presentable/is long enough to plait. Just be patient .

Just endure, it will come right .
I use conditioner on them as they grow out and bandage for hour a day it won't help at first but as it grows out it does help a bit.

Thank you all for your response, we do use conditioner and try with the tail bandage but she always seems to have it off with 10 mins! . X x

Mine was the same when I bought him! It's been over a year now and looks much better, although his tail is still a bit thin looking (my mum refers to it as "Jazz's hanky")
