Help, pup has just eaten a mouse

8 week old pup has just found a dead mouse, the cats must have dropped it last night. She has swallowed it almost whole, on my own I couldnt hold her, open her mouth and remove said mouse so before I could stop her it was gone. Do I need to panic or will it hopefully come back up again.

I don't think it should be a problem? Pop her to the vets if you are worried but mice are small enough and I am sure it will come out the other end

She will be fine (as long as it wasn’t poisoned), she has bagged herself a balanced natural meal! Mine have been eating cute little mice all winter since they stumbled on the winning formula of one making the din and the other catching the mouse running away!

Oh just dont feed any kibble for a while as that will cause a problem as the kibble is digested differently.

Thanks both, it has been half an hour now and she hasnt been sick or tried to be. In fact she is being a complete menace, charging around, stealing my slippers etc. Ill keep a close eye on her for the next hour then have to shoot off to work till teatime. Hopefully if she is gonna be sick it will have happened before I leave. Little horror
