I would dress smartly but wouldnt wear a suit maybe skirt n shirt or smart top n trousers - unless its more casual and you need to wear yard type clothes? What is the job it would depend on this i guess? Good luck though!

it's a job where I will be running a busy family yard taking children to pc events, cubbing and husband also does hunting, taking children to school, general yard jobs really, but it's something that really interests me and i want to make right impression as you dont get second chance.

I was thinking about smart casual clothes although no idea what to wear and taking my riding stuff with me just incase i'm asked to ride.

As job will also involve hacking out etc..

Agree with others, smart but not too smart and have ridding clothes, sensible shoes and hat in the car just in case. I would avoid high heels as they may be very awkward walking around the yard (I assume they will want to take you round the yard to have a look).

For what it's worth, when I am looking for a groom, I am looking for someone who is friendly but not too friendly (if you know what I mean!) and comes across as professional (i.e. knows the value of their skills and behaves accordingly).

Good luck!

it will involve driving yes, but I've lost my purse which has my licence in along with all my other cards....thats soo annoying! I have the paper part still i kept them seperate.luckily but no card!

I'm really nervous about this one, not normally as I really feel that this is the right job for me so it's so important to get things right when I go up there...
i always arrive earlier than expected to allow for traffic/getting lost etc

Make sure you take the paper part with you Kezz and explain that the other one is being replaced (if it comes up!).

Don't let yourself get too stressed (easier said than done I know) - remember that all they want to do is find out if you are right for them - they are not trying to catch you out or give you a hard time. It never hurts to have a list of any questions you want to ask - and don't be afraid to refer to it! Make sure you ask a lot about the children and any animals, as well as about the job itself. Remember, if it doesn't work out for you then the chances are you wouldn't have been happy there anyway.

Best of luck and do let us know how you get on won't you?

thank you camilla4 i have already had a chat with the lady already over weekend and has told me a fair bit about the role, she likes the sound of me...she has seen my cv and she got in touch with me...brill!

I will be asking lots of questions too...it's also a live in job so has to be right for us all at end of day...big move for something thats not going to wotk out.
