I have always done Shetlands and Highlands and when young used to have a Highland Welsh when wee but all these show pony type things are new to me.
What kind of saddle should I get for a Dartmoor and Welsh A and B - just ideas are enough, these are working saddle and showing saddles.
The girls say there is "nothing" in the Shires or Jenkinson catalogies that are suitable, should I believe them ?
Any help appreciated.

Thanks
Ruar

The problem with a lot od Dartmoors is their width which makes getting a saddle which stays down on the book and not slipping forward difficult.I have found the Ideal company do a saddle called the Ramsey or try Fylde saddlery, they do the Hayden and the Samantha. I have used these three saddles on my Dartmoors over the years. They are not cheap but very good.

After trying about every possible saddle - I have a Native pony saddle company one they start at 14" very nice and seem good fit for ponies
