Hi,
Long story short, old horse has been being treated for really bad foot abscess and after 4 weeks has had shoe back on yesterday. Despite being in huge pain, he never lost the will to eat, but he has just reluctantly come in tonight and totally ignored his tea (including carrots) which is absolutely unheard of. He looks totally spaced out, like he's been doped.
The obvious is that the foot is still really sore and perhaps the shoe needs to come off again, but he has let me pick all four feet up, and last time there was no way he would put any weight on that foot.
He has other health issues so it could be something else.
Any ideas?
