I have my two year old qualified for the second rounds Trailblazers Inhand Youngstock class this w.end. Slight problem, the little sod has been rubbing his face away!
How badly will he be marked down? He has black patches by his eyes and nose where the blummin midges have eaten him and hes itched.
Is it worth taking him?
The rest of him is fine, hes in a Boett but havn't got the hood yet.

My little dartie is slightly bald as well !. We are doing the second round LR and FR so will go as it is a performance class and jockey will be heartbroken if we don't go. I have had Boett on 24/7 but the poxy midges still bite him. I bought a face mask but it is too big so went to country wide and bought a face mask fly shield and that seems to help see you there.

There was a mare at a yard I worked at whos face hair was rubbed off due to midges/flys and we used a Nettex product, I cant remember off the top of my haed what its called...the names have changed over the past 3 years!!! It was very good...the cream/salve was applied daily and she wore a fly mask out (she lived out) the hair grew back and she didnt get irritated anymore. you may have to google Nettex

gold label show sticks are awful to try and use. supreme black makeup is much easier to use and to blend to the colour you need.

Do you know where I would get some from tomo?
He has had netex itch stop salve on every day, plus made up fly spray, baby oil and sudocrem.
I will go potty soon.
He itches the tiny bites so they turn into little scabs. They are all healing now but its a bit unsghtly.
Hes bay, but the patches are black.
