Never been that far with a horse on board. Any tips and advice to make it as smooth as possible. It is mainly motorway so should I just motor on and get there asap, or stop for breaks????

ETS - my mare is a good traveller and used to it...

Just drive!!! 3 hours is not that long for most horses, if you are worried then have a quick stop half way for drink but to be honest most horses would rather just get there, dont worry too much!! if good traveller then wouldnt faff about with stuff.

3 hours will be fine, I took Rose to Lincoln and it took about 4 hours, she was totally fine and personally I much prefer to not stop and unsettle them if they seem happy.

I did 3 hours last year taking his lordshop on holiday, this was a first for me, put your camera on so you can see the beast is ok, a wireless reversing cam from Costco does fine, just no sound, I burn a cd with all my favourite music tracks on and play that to pass the time, as long as I can see he is ok no worries, I didn't stop so was well ready for a pee when I got there though

, I set off at 5.30am so as to miss any traffic as that was my main concern, wasn't that bad.
