Really nervous about tomorrow!!!

My horse is normally ridden in a myler triple barrel mullen mouth which he seems to like a lot more than a snaffle (which he gets his tongue over and generally seems uncomfy in). BUT he is strong cantering in company- very strong sometimes.

Need something a bit stronger for cubbing tomorrow as he's only going to be worse! Tried him in a snaffle bubble bit on the second ring last night- didn't make much difference brakes wise and he wasn't happy with me holding onto him in it.

So, today I bought one of these- a neue shule trans angled lozenge beval bit. Rode him in it this evening and he seemed comfortable enough in it- we were on our own so didn't really get to test the brakes properly... do you think it'll be ok?!

Any advice appreciated?!

Not much help for tomorrow, but in the future you could try a myler short shank combi with the same mouthpiece- Moon jumps in it and loves it and Bossy used to go really well in it too.

Waterford (with cheeks for added steering)????. Used on a horse who will normally XC in rubber snaffle, but leans a bit out hunting.
