I bought a 13hh pony in april as an unbroken but well handled 4 year old and i planned to have him backed by end of august. however the friend that was supposed to be helping me is too busy and i have no one else to help. thing is i dont have the time to spend everyday doing things with him and up until now i have only sat on him once. here is my quandry... do i sell him now and get something that is bigger and already broken or do i stick with it but potentially not have him broken til next year? Please Help!!!

why not send him to be broken?? it shouldnt take long for them to do the basics if you've already done the ground work so shouldnt cost too much

if i was you i'd sell him, if you get one that you are going to keep you dont need to get him done as quick so wont matter if you take your time. he's still young enough to sell as lightly backed without seeming like he's got a problem and you havnt been able to break him yourself. Hope this helps!!!
