Help! What does run to Table A5 rules mean?

As in the title. Entry form for sj competition says class run to Table A5 rules and I have no idea what that means.

Can anyone enlighten me?

To my knowledge it means that if you are clear after the first phase then you carry straight on to the jump off. Means you have to memorise two courses just incase but makes classes run a lot quicker!!

Didn't think there was an A5?! I only know of A1,4,6,7,8, & 9 - unless it's fairly new?

I couldn't find an A5 in the BSJA rule book (I don't BSJA), but I think it's being run under BRC rules. Sorry, that's all a bit vague!

If you jump clear in the first phase you carry straight on into the jump off, if you do not jump clear in the first phase then they ring the bell and you leave the ring.

S_F - that's just known as 'two-phase' - I've checked the BSJA rule book as well and there's nothing in it about A5!!

I definitely heard of it back in the day when I jumped my pony, but for BSJA classes are referred to as 'single' or 'two phase'

I thought table A5 meant two phase, I guess it would refer to bsja rules 286 or 287

It's actually old !!

The BSJA don't use A5 any more, but it's tended to hang around in the unaffiliated world !!

As already explained it means you go straight to your jump off without leaving the ring if you are clear.
It does speed things up considerably.
