I advertised her in Coloured Contacts in Feb and have only had one person contact me please see advert
http://www.colouredcontacts.co.uk/horseforsale_15950
is she priced too high?
should I change the pictures?
I bought her as a 6 month old foal and planned to do alot but over the last 12 months have had health problem that have prevented me doing anything with her and it's going to be another year before I can do anything at all about backing her, I feel that she needs to go and do things now. Any suggestions welcome thanks

she's gorge! Not sure if I missed it on the ad, but is she backed? also, not sure I'd go for a Tobanio if I was looking for a showjumper? although that's probably as I don't know much about the breed ... Could be totally wrong but that's just first impressions......

Good luck with selling her as she really is pretty. i would try horsemart though x

I've had mine advertised on coloured contacts (8000+ hits) and Horsemart (900+ hits) and only recieved 2 calls.
Decided to keep him now as so little interest.

this years market is slow- not sure why? weather, credit crunch? but people are struggling to sell.. so I would advise you to put him on a site where it will get seem more e.g Horsequest

correct the spelling mistake in the header (tabiano)
Shame you cant put any more details about her pedigree on there. Sonny Steel was a Paint so I am sure someone will know his pedigree. never heard of the sire so cant help you there.
Maybe get her preped at home as if you were going to show her, trimmed and plaited, with a bridle on, and stand her up well for the camera. That sort of photo will show potential buyers her potential for the show ring.

The only thing i would say is analize it from the purchasers point of view, she isnt very big which puts her more in to the riding club bracket, so you then have more inexperienced people looking, if they purchase they have then got to have her broken which is going to cost another £1,000 with no guarantee that she will be what they want, her breeding wouldnt be quite good enough for the pro's and again abit small, personally if you advertised her for around £1,800 then you might sell her, as at the moment she is totally unproven with not even a showing record for people to compare, sorry dont want to sound negative but this is why i think she hasnt sold.

Thanks I've changed the spelling, I am going to put her in horse deals May issue so she will also go on their web site, I thought the price was a bit high but it was what we were advised to put her at by a good trainer. I have found her breeding on all breeds pedigree and put the link into the advert. I was hoping to do couloured showing classes and working hunter with her at county level and from what I have seen out there she wouldn't look out of place just a shame we haven't been able to get her out and about.

I think its a lovely ad but its not good using the same photo twice (or very similar) I'd replace the top one with her standig square, in a bridle and plaited up...as vloatis said.
She is beautiful, though!

Try dropping price very slightly

£2950 ono is more attractive and as a search puts her in the 3K plus group at £3,000

She looks stunning and can obviously move but I agree with others that you need to try a site/mag with a wider audience and no I don't think you are asking too much.

Thanks for the tip on dropping the price to put her in the under £3000 mark I'll do it later, I'm also going to try horse deals tonight I'll let everyone know so they can have a look at the new add.

Oh my! She is gorgeous.

No advice - I don't know anything about buying/selling horses - I just wanted to coo over her, she is a stunner.

I agree with what some people have said maybe it is worth trimming her up and making her look more presentable.

She is a beautiful mare and I would really like her myself, I just dont have a spare £3000

Also just a small point coloureds are still pretty rare in the BYEH classes mine was the only coloured at the final in 2006 & 2007 and she was tiny in the classes at 16.1hh

To be honest.....she is an unbroken coloured horse and thats as far as it goes really. You have put her onto a very limited website and IMHO she would be way over priced.

Sorry, Im sure you love her to bits and can see all this potential in her but in the cold light of day most people arent keen on spending on potential.

If you could get her backed I think it would make the world of difference.

I think she is probably slightly overpriced for the current market. She looks absolutely fab, but the fact she is not backed and not yet 3 means whoever buys her will have to wait for quite a while to do anything with her.

I think if you dropped the price to around £2300 you'd have a lot more luck. She looks absolutely gorgeous, but generally if something sits on the market for ages with no interest it is down to the price.
