I'm going to view a horse tomorrow and all seems ok so far but was wondering about vetting.
Even though he is a 'cheaper' horse i guess i should still vet him but do i do it before taking him on the loan or while he is with me?

Any other things to look out for or ask with a view to buy??

Ta!

Do it before otherwise what's the point in loaning him falling in love with him just to have him fail the vet.

Also take someone experienced with you tomorrow.

It depends which way you look at it, if you take it home then vet and a problem shows up if you really get on with the horse it may be hard to send it back or the sellers could blame you for "breaking it".
If you get it vetted first although it costs at least you know if it suits you everything else is ok.

If I ever let one go on trial it is usually vetted here first in case a problem arises the situation can then be reassessed.
